I love Lan Fang’s short fiction. Love it, love it, love it. This is the only work of hers that’s been translated into English and I’m excited to see what it’s like.

So I only just found out that Carmen (read: my favorite opera) is based on a novella. Did I check it out from my library the day after learning this? Yes, yes I did.
