Review: The Dim Sum Field Guide by Carolyn Phillips

The Dim Sum Field Guide by Carolyn Phillips is a cute little book that sets out to catalog the many different dishes you might encounter when you go out for dim sum. It also covers what the dishes include and how they are served.

This is a lovely ode to dim sum. It’s fun to flip through, glancing at all the illustrations and finding new dishes. Though it’s not the sort of book that you read straight through, the information given for each of the dishes is quite helpful and informative.

I found this to be a fun little book and I’m happy to have it on my shelf. I, of course, love dim sum. but more than that, this book is a great resource for learning about new dishes. It can be intimidating to go to dim sum, and this book can help.

I received a copy of this book from Blogging for Books for this review.
